My hope in providing free yoga videos is to make yoga as accessible as possible. With that, I will say that working with a yoga teacher in person as well as creating your own personal practice are key steps on the yoga path.

Description: This is a short but well-rounded vinyasa stye yoga class, which includes a warmup, standing poses, some challenging holds, and restorative postures at the end. Take this class any time of day to find more energy as well as a deeper sense of grounding and ease.

Short & Sweet Warrior Flow - 20 mins

Description: I recently got a request for more short and invigorating classes. And you know how much I love getting requests and feedback for classes - it helps me make sure that the Happy Heart resources are useful to YOU!

This class is short and sweet and will get you moving and grooving even if you have limited time to practice. We do not have to spend enormous amounts of time or energy in order to do good work (both in our yoga practice and in life). We can work with what we have available to us to stay dedicated to our wellness and live a meaningful life. So, this class will focus on: efficient use of time, integration of our effort, and supporting the opening with our strength.

Embodying Change - 28 mins

Duration: 28 minutes

Description: This class focuses on standing balancing poses to help our bodies build strength and find softness in order to better navigate change. The world is constantly changing, our bodies and our experiences are always in flux. This can be overwhelming unless we learn how to find balance, grounding, and acceptance of what is happening around and within us. 

On a personal note, I have been resisting recording a video for quite some time. I think this is because my practice has changed so much along with all the changes that are taking place in my body. I can no longer do all of the poses that I like to instruct. And if I can’t do them myself, how can I ask you to do them in a video that I am demoing? Well, I am taking my own advice — accepting and surrendering to the changes. I created this video taking into account all that I can do and all that I am not able to do in this current state. And it turns out, it was not as hard as I built it up in my head (it’s funny how we do that, right?). A few adjustments had to be made but the truth is that only forces me to be more creative and thoughtful in how I put the class together. So, I hope you enjoy!

Improving Posture - 25 mins

Description: Take a few minutes out of your day to sit up tall and breathe into all the space you have within. This is a short and sweet class that focuses on techniques for improving posture both in yoga poses and in life. We will review a few of the key elements for good posture and then put them into practice with several poses & flows to integrate the knowledge into our bodies.

Loving Kindness Meditation - 12 mins

Duration: 12 minutes

Description: This is a Loving Kindness meditation, which is a great practice to do daily in order to invite more kindness, compassion, and gratitude into your life.

The meditation consist of several phrases that are repeated several times to cover all beings- starting with self and moving through indifferent and even unfriendly persons. 

I will guide you through it and you are welcome to just listen or even repeat back out loud or to yourself. Eventually it is a good idea to memorize the text and complete the meditation on your own. I have included the words below so you have access to them.

"May all living beings be well, happy, and peaceful. May no harm come to them. May they always meet with spiritual success. May they also have patience, courage, understanding, and determination to meet and overcome inevitable difficulties, problems, and failures in life. May they always rise above with morality, integrity, forgiveness, compassion, mindfulness, and wisdom." - From the book Mindfulness in Plain English by Henepola Gunaratana

Guided Morning Routine - 27 mins

Description:  In this video, I will guide you through a morning routine so that you can start your day with intentionality and presence. This is a simple, effective, and adjustable morning routine, which you can tailor based on your time and energy levels. 

Morning Routine includes the 3 M's:

  1. Movement
  2. Meditation
  3. Morning Pages

These three elements have been the basis of my morning routine for the past several years. I add things in and take things out but these three actions are usually always included. 

I encourage you to try out this video, follow along, and then experiment with it to see what works best for you. For example, do you need less movement and more meditation? Do you want to focus on one element to start and then add others in later? And, most of all, enjoy starting your day off right!

Challenging Your Limits - 30 mins

Description: This is a vinyasa flow yoga class focused on mindfully challenging the limitations we sometimes put on ourselves, both in our yoga class and in our lives.

Specifically, we will work on getting deeper into our Lunge and Warrior 2 poses. I encourage you to explore and experiment with curiosity to see what new depths you can reach.

This class is suitable for all levels of yoga experience.

Openness and Freedom Flow - 35 mins

Description: This yoga class provides an opportunity for you to create more openness and freedom within your body and within your yoga practice. You will be led through several flowing sequences and given the space to flow through several poses at your own pace.

Outdoor Active Flow - 20 mins

Description: This is an active, well-paced, vinyasa flow class. It is perfect for a morning or afternoon practice. Since it is a bit faster paced than other classes, I would recommend it most for advanced beginners or intermediate yogis.

And if you can do this outside, even better. Get out and enjoy that fresh air!

Description: This is a cooling yoga practice that focuses on twists and gentle movements. It is a great class for anytime of day, whenever you need to unwind and find more ease. It is a perfect follow-up class to the Vinyasa Twists and Flow Class. Or you can use it after a workout or another vigorous yoga session to help calm the body and mind.

Description: I created this yoga class video a few months back as an offering to a whole foods cleanse I did with Luz Femenina. It is a calming and fluid vinyasa yoga class focused on helping the body detox. The class includes breath-based flows, twists to help detox, and restorative poses to relax the body and aid in the natural cleansing process.

Description: This is a fiery class focused on building core strength. The hope is that as we build our sense of strength and power deep within our core, the work will translate into how we live our life -- from a place of empowerment and compassionate strength.

Be sure to notice how it makes you feel - how do you react to deep core work? It's totally cool if you struggle with it or get frustrated or even feel anger bubble up... but just let it happen and keep moving through it with compassion.

Peaceful Warrior Flow

Description: The theme of this free yoga class is the Peaceful Warrior. We will be working on strength and softness, balancing ease with steadiness.

Throughout the class I will encourage you to rest when you need to rest and keep moving when your body is telling you to keep moving. This is a huge piece of the peaceful warrior archetype - to listen, accept, and honor what is present before us.

Yoga for Shoulders and Neck - 38 mins

Description: It is getting cold here in the southern hemisphere! When I am feeling cold, or stressed, or even just concentrating at my desk, I find that my shoulders start to hunch and round. When this happens, I feel closed off physically and emotionally - less likely to want to be open and social.

How we hold ourselves and our bodies has a direct connection to how we are feeling mentally and emotionally. 

This is a steady practice to help you open up in the chest and shoulders, as well as to help ease neck tension or strain.
