Description: This class focuses on standing balancing poses to help our bodies build strength and find softness in order to better navigate change. The world is constantly changing, our bodies and our experiences are always in flux. This can be overwhelming unless we learn how to find balance, grounding, and acceptance of what is happening around and within us.
On a personal note, I have been resisting recording a video for quite some time. I think this is because my practice has changed so much along with all the changes that are taking place in my body. I can no longer do all of the poses that I like to instruct. And if I can’t do them myself, how can I ask you to do them in a video that I am demoing? Well, I am taking my own advice — accepting and surrendering to the changes. I created this video taking into account all that I can do and all that I am not able to do in this current state. And it turns out, it was not as hard as I built it up in my head (it’s funny how we do that, right?). A few adjustments had to be made but the truth is that only forces me to be more creative and thoughtful in how I put the class together. So, I hope you enjoy!
